I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on where a team needs both.

Is there a world where the BDR interface should be Unify for ease of access and then Clay is used for more flexible list creation, adhoc plays, and then to push custom signals into Unify for actioning? Ex. a csv download to enroll into a Unify play?

For the above the logic would be that Clay + Outreach = shitty BDR experience, so Unify functions as a sleek "front-end" for a large BDR team then a GTME behind the scenes could be dangerous wielding Clay on the side & pumping into Unify via either CRM or csv uploads when needed.

Also - would be curious how you think about the trade-offs for a team that is call-heavy given Unify doesn't have a dialer?

@tierney This is spot on and appreciate the thought you put in asking this!

You have it exactly right and companies like Default mirror this exactly where there are pods of 2-3 BDRs and one GTME. BDRs will never use clay imo, unify is much preferred. Whereas GTMEs will always default to clay.

Call heavy you definitely want a Nooks (Anthony Firenzi) / Orum.... Unify will be adding a dialer soon (in the roadmap for continuing to empower BDRs).

Great comparison - curious to see what Clay builds for reps.

I think there’s an opportunity right now to self-build rep-friendly systems of action on top of clay/other data sources.
